Happy Values is a fan-made trading community for Adopt Me on Roblox — a phone app and this website. This page says exactly what we collect, why we need it, who can see it, how long we keep it and how to get rid of it.
The short version: we don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites. There is no advertising ID, no ad network and no data broker anywhere in this. You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, at any time.
This policy covers the Happy Values app on Android and iOS and the website at happyvalues.net. It is written by the person who runs Happy Values, who is the data controller for it; write to support@happyvalues.net about anything on this page.
What you can do without giving us anything
Most of Happy Values is open to people who are not signed in. You can browse trades, read the community feed, look through all 3,464 items and their charts, and use the calculator in full without an account. We don’t ask who you are to let you look around.
An account is only needed to act — post a trade, keep a wishlist, write in the community, put up a story, message another trader. A verified Roblox account is needed for the two things where it matters who you are in the game itself: accepting a trade and filing a scam report.
What we collect
When you make an account
- Your sign-in. We use Google or Apple — there is no password for us to hold. We receive your email address and a sign-in ID. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your address, we only ever see Apple’s private relay address, never your real one.
- A display name, taken from your sign-in, until you verify a Roblox account.
When you verify your Roblox account (optional)
- Your Roblox username, display name, numeric user ID and avatar picture. We read your public Roblox profile once, to check you put our code in your About section. We never ask for your Roblox password and could not use it if you gave it to us.
- We store the numeric ID as well as the name, so that somebody who renames themselves on Roblox is still the same trader here — and so a scam report still points at the right player.
What you write and post
- Trades you post or accept, the items on each side, any note, and what happened to them (completed, failed and why, cancelled, expired).
- Your wishlist — the pets you want, the ones you dream of, and the ones you’d give away.
- Community posts, their type, up to four pictures each, your comments and which posts you liked.
- Stories — one picture and an optional caption, and a record of whose stories you have watched (so a ring stops looking new once you’ve seen it, and so a story’s author can see how many people watched theirs).
- Chat messages between you and the trader on the other side of a trade.
- Ratings you give and receive after a trade, their tags and any note.
- Saved trades, and anyone you block.
- Reports you file — about a trade, a trader, a message, a post or a story — and scam reports, which name a Roblox player and carry one to four screenshots you upload as evidence.
- Appeals, if your account is ever suspended and you write to us about it.
Everything public is checked by a word filter before it is saved — trade notes, ratings, chat messages, posts, comments, story captions and scam reasons. You are asked to reword rather than having your writing quietly disappear.
Notifications
- A notification token for each phone you sign in on, so we can reach it. Removed when you sign out or delete your account, and dropped automatically when a phone stops accepting them.
- A record of what you were told — who accepted your trade, who messaged you, who replied to or liked your post — so the app can show you what happened while it was closed. Kept 30 days.
Your device
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and usage events (Firebase Analytics) — which screens are opened and when something significant happens, such as a trade being posted or an account being deleted. These carry a random ID we generate, never your name, email or Roblox username, and no advertising ID: the app explicitly removes that permission.
- App Check, which proves a request came from the real app on a real device rather than a script. It tells us nothing about you.
- Your IP address, used in the moment to rate-limit abuse and keep the service up. It is not stored against your account.
Kept on your phone, not sent to us
The app keeps item pictures, the item catalogue and the last page of a few feeds in its own storage, so it opens instantly and doesn’t download the same thing twice. It also remembers your theme choice. All of that stays on your phone and goes when you uninstall the app.
What we deliberately do not collect
- No advertising ID, ad network, or tracking across other apps and sites.
- No location, contacts, microphone, camera roll beyond the pictures you choose to upload, or health data.
- No Roblox password, and no access to your Roblox account — we only read your public profile once.
- No payment details. Happy Values is free and there is nothing to buy.
Who can see what
- Public to anyone, signed in or not: your username, avatar, verified badge, whether you are online, your trades, your wishlist, your ratings and trade counts, your community posts and comments, and your stories while they are live. Your profile is a public page on this website.
- Private: your email address, your notification tokens, and your chats — which only you and the other trader can read.
- Moderators can read a conversation when a message in it has been reported, and can see reports, scam reports and their screenshots. Every moderator action is written to a log with who did it and why.
- Nobody buys it. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
One thing worth being plain about: your wishlist is public on purpose. It is most of the point of Happy Values — other traders read it to know what to offer you. Don’t put anything in it you would mind a stranger seeing.
Scam reports, and people who never signed up
A scam report names a Roblox account, not a Happy Values user, because most scams are against a player who never installed this app. That means we sometimes hold a public Roblox username, a numeric ID, a written reason and screenshots about somebody who has no account here.
We keep this narrow on purpose: only a Roblox-verified account can file one, only one report per player ever, three a day at most, screenshots are required, and the reason is abuse-filtered. Reading the list is open to anybody — warning people is the point of it.
If you have been named and you believe it is wrong, write to support@happyvalues.net and we will look at it and take it down if it does not stand up. You do not need an account here to ask.
Why we are allowed to use it
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: performance of a contract for the things Happy Values cannot work without (your account, your trades, your wishlist, your chats and your notifications); legitimate interests for keeping the place safe and working (abuse filters, daily limits, rate limiting, reports, moderation, crash reports and basic usage analytics); and consent, which you give at the phone’s own prompt, for push notifications. You can withdraw that at any time in your phone’s settings.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare — hosting, the database, uploaded pictures and rate limiting. Our data lives in Cloudflare’s network.
- Google Firebase — sign-in, push notifications, crash reports, analytics and App Check.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, and push delivery to iPhones.
- Roblox — we read a public profile when you verify. We send them nothing about you.
These companies process data on our instructions under their own terms, and may do so outside your country — including in the United States — under the transfer safeguards they publish.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Stories and their pictures | 24 hours, then deleted automatically |
| Notifications | 30 days |
| Chats with no new message | 30 days, unless a message in them was reported and is still under review |
| Open trades nobody takes | 30 days, then they expire and leave the feed |
| The record behind daily limits | 48 hours |
| Uploaded pictures nobody attached to anything | Swept regularly and deleted |
| Your account, wishlist, posts, trades and ratings | While you have an account |
| Scam reports and the moderation log | Kept, so a warning does not vanish and an action can be accounted for |
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → ⚙ → Delete account. There is no form to fill in and nothing to ask us for. This page explains it, as the app stores require.
What goes immediately: your email address, your Roblox link, your avatar, your wishlist, your saved trades, your notification tokens, your notifications, your blocks, your community posts and their pictures, your comments and likes, your stories and their pictures, your chat messages that have not been reported, and your sign-in account itself. Any trade you had open is withdrawn, and a trade you had accepted goes back to its poster.
What stays, and why: finished trades and the ratings either side of them, and your half of a conversation the other person still has. Those belong to the other trader as much as to you — wiping them would rewrite somebody else’s record of a trade they really did. They are scrubbed of your name and shown as “Deleted trader”. Reported messages stay until a moderator has dealt with the report. Scam reports you filed stay, because they are a warning about a Roblox player rather than a record about you.
Deleting is final — there is no undo and no recovery. Verifying the same Roblox account again afterwards is allowed, on a fresh account.
Your rights
Wherever you live you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or give it to you in a portable form, and you can object to us using it. Where the GDPR applies these are legal rights and we answer within one month. Write to support@happyvalues.net.
You can also, without asking anyone: delete your account in the app, turn notifications off in your phone’s settings, block another trader so they cannot message you and their trades are hidden from you, and use most of Happy Values without signing in at all.
If you are in the UK or the EU and you think we have handled this badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would much rather you told us first.
Younger players
Adopt Me is played by a lot of children, so this matters here more than it does on most sites. Happy Values is for everyone, but if you are under 13 — or under the age of digital consent where you live, which is 16 in some countries — please only use it with a parent’s permission.
We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13 without that permission, and there is no advertising or profiling anywhere in this app. If you are a parent and you would like your child’s account removed, write to support@happyvalues.net and we will delete it — you do not need to prove anything beyond being able to tell us which account it is.
A word to younger players: never give anyone your Roblox password, and remember that your wishlist, your posts and your profile can be read by anybody.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels over HTTPS. We never see or store a password — Google and Apple handle sign-in. The API only answers the genuine app or this website, uploads are checked to be real images and capped in size, and every request is rate-limited. No system is perfect; if something does go wrong and it puts you at risk, we will say so here and in the app.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no analytics script on it. The only cookie anywhere is the one that keeps the owner signed in to the private admin page, which nobody else ever reaches. The app is not a browser and sets none at all.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for anything that actually affects you we will say so in the app rather than hoping you re-read this page.
